Friday February 19th, will be the 11th anniversary that residents and organizations in Bi’lin, Palestine began to and continue to fight against oppression and occupation. For 11 years now residents, activists and organizations are participating in weekly demonstrations. We hope that we won’t need another 11 years before we will achieve this goal of freedom for Palestine.  We will continue in solidarity until freedom is reality.

The beautiful land of Palestine as Palestine should be, open, lush, free ~ not surrounded by the ugly, wall of Occupation Apartheid.  This short video features the lands surrounding Bil’in, Palestine.  Land that for generations was nurtured, cultured and rich in sustaining the Palestinians that lived and worked the land.  Something that is now almost impossible to achieve when the lands have been segregated by the wall of Apartheid.

Haitham Khatib, my friend, my partner, and a man who has a soul for his land and country, that runs as deep as the roots of the olive trees on his land…trees that carry the history of his family, of his land, of Palestine forever strong and like his family, Haitham cares for his olive trees with love, respect, reverence, protection and care.

The heart of Palestine beats strong, and beats strongest in the hearts of the children and youth. The sons and daughters of Palestine stand strong, in undying resistance if only with stones, to the only existence they have known, yet know it is a existence they must fight against, holding ever strong to the hope and belief that Palestine will be free. The children and youth of Palestine fight with dignity and a spirit that no occupation and apartheid will ever destroy.
